A Letter From Our Principal

My name is Soriya Sem Szilagyi, and I'm from the beautiful country of Cambodia. I came to the U.S. and received my bachelor’s degree in Christian Elementary Education on an academic scholarship. While completing my teaching internship at Laura E. Mason Christian Academy right here in Cheyenne, Wyoming, I never dreamed that less than two years later the same school would encourage me to apply for, and also select me as their first choice for working here as teacher and Principal.
If there’s one thing that I want you to know about me, it’s that I really love children. Each one of my students is a unique individual, precious in God’s sight, and special to me.
I believe true education involves the training of the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. I’m committed to providing your child with a strong academic program, with daily opportunities for physical development, with faithful instruction in how to relate to others socially, and most importantly, with opportunities to learn about and fall in love with Jesus.
It is of the utmost importance to me that my students be afforded a safe learning environment, free from anxiety and fear. I have dedicated myself to modeling Christian behavior, striving to take every opportunity to teach lessons of kindness, respect for others, and self-control, and will enforce our school's policy on not tolerating bullying.
